How is this different than my Unlimited Phone Plan?

Unlimited phone plans are ONLY unlimited for PHONE data use. Unlimited phone plans only allow 5-10gb of tethering. (the ability to use the phones data with your computer, tablet, or other connected devices.) That is the equivalent of streaming a couple HD Netflix movies. Unlike an unlimited phone plan, our plans and devices can entirely replace your slow home or office internet solution for an unlimited, unthrottled, high-speed wireless data connection.

Is your service REALLY unlimited?

Short answer, Yes.

Long answer: For normal internet usage, you’ll never receive limits, throttling or anything. The only issue is if you use an EXTREME amount of data or conduct illegal activities, your account will be terminated. For comparison, an average home uses 190 GBs/month of service. For streaming music, streaming movies, Youtube, Netflix, surfing, gaming, etc, your service is perfect!

How does the demo work? (Covington, TN and surrounding areas)

It’s a little old fashioned, but we prefer for our customers to know exactly what they’re getting prior to committing for a purchase, even though there’s no contract. We can arrange a demo at YOUR home or office so you know EXACTLY what speed you’re getting before you make a decision. This is something NO ONE ELSE does that we’re aware of.

What kind of speeds can I expect?

This depends entirely on the AT&T signal strength and tower congestion. As a best case scenario, from a home line-of-sight to the AT&T tower on the less populated end of town in Covington (Oil Mill Road area), I can consistently pull over 100MBPS download and over 30MBPS upload. This is actually on par with almost ANY cable internet offerings.

Is this suitable for online gaming?

We actually get this question a lot. While it’s not quite as good as a cable/fiber connection for gaming, it’s pretty darn close. With a good (not great) signal, we’re usually showing latency between 39 and 85ms. While this isn’t as good as the 24-40ms you typically get from cable (even lower with fiber), it’s definitely acceptable for online gaming for anything except extremely high level competitive play where 10ms is the difference between winning and losing (think CS:GO World Championship level). Twitch user Southpaw41 uses our service (from Covington, TN) and plays high level Rocket League, which is a fast-paced game.

What’s the price?

Nomadic Wireless Service is $70.00 a month. You would also need equipment to get started. If you already have a mobile hotspot, we can just swap the SIM cards. Alternatively, I have Netgear Unite Wi-Fi hotspots that I recommend and usually stock. They are $120.

Is this for real? It seems too good to be true.

YES we are for real! We started Nomadic Wireless to provide reliable, affordable internet with no overage charge surprises. We don’t want anyone to live without internet access. There is NO risk, especially if you’re local to Tipton County, as you can “Try it before you buy it”.
